    I'm just now reading thru the thread and I'm astonished at the positive reception...this is one of the blandest albums I've heard all year. Idk what yall see in this lol.

    its getting a great reception everywhere ive seen.
    Great reviews too apart from Pitchfork.
    Great album really grown on me. Certaintly far better than Indicud imo.

    Man on the Moon initially back in 2010 was not received that well.
    It gained its acclaim over time

    Indicud had RZA. So I agree.

    I liked a song or two in the first half. The second half is so mind blowingly bad. If it was more like the first half, maybe a 6 would be ok lmao

    Motm1 is painfully bad too in 2020.

    I think motm2 was his peak honestly

    There’s no sense of growth in this project IMO. It literally is driven by nostalgia and by the time you reach half way, it’s tiring.

    Cudi’s demons and angels album or whatever is much more of a enjoyable listen imo

    Yeah but I liked Man on the Moon initially...what do you consider the best songs on here? Cuz I was decently excited for this but I'm extremely let down, it just feels bland thru and thru to me.

    I don't think MOTM1 is painfully bad but it's aged much less gracefully than MOTM2 for sure—which I think is his best album bar none.

    Son I tried listening to it, and I could only really bump day n nite without cringing. Something about it. I like the sequel waaay more

    review said it didnt have the personal feelings of previous 2 Motm's
    If he went over the same issues in this album Pitchfork would say Cudi is just saying the same things he said 10 years ago.

    Pitchfork gave MOTM 1 a 4 lol.

    I do like this album a lot, but it isn't better than satellite flight (which is a personal guilty favorite of mine lol)
