Nov 15, 2020 Buffalo rapper Benny the Butcher was shot in the leg Saturday during a botched attempted robbery at a Walmart store in Houston, according to entertainment website TMZ, citing police reports. According to TMZ, the 35-year-old rapper – whose real name is Jeremie Damon Pennick – was visiting friends in Houston when they stopped at the retailer. While sitting in the parking lot, another vehicle with five men inside reportedly pulled up next to them, displayed weapons and demanded their chains and jewelry. One of the five attackers then fired a shot into Pennick's leg, and both vehicles fled the scene, before Pennick and his friends pulled over and called police. Pennick was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but his condition is not known.
