Feb 5, 2015 New Slaves Hold My Liquor Bound 2 Blood on the Leaves Send It Up Black Skinhead I'm In It On Sight Guilt Trip I Am A God After the first 3 it's really hard to put these in order. Well, I'm sure about the last two, and the top 3. Not sure about the middle 5.
Feb 5, 2015 so now Kanye does absolutely nothing when it comes to making his own albums? do you see why people think you're a r-----? you obviously meant it as a joke, but on some level you actually think this kind of s--- is true. And then talk about how Eminem "gave so much to his fans that he had to re learn how to write" or whatever your thought process is so one-dimensional and just plain juvenile
Feb 5, 2015 Yo, great call on the New Slaves outdo. s--- is underrated af My top five would have to be. 1. Guilt Trip- I had slept on this song so much. One day I decided to give Yeezus another full play through and I heard this song. It hit me like love everything about it. I especially like the fact it gives off a futuristic MBDTF vibe. Some crazy sounds. 2. Hold My Liquor- "One cold night in October, p---- had me floatin' " Chief Keef is nice on this too. 3. Blood On The Leaves- the sample is epic 4. Bound 2- very quotable song 5. New Slaves- That outro>>
Feb 5, 2015 Yeah Yeezus is 1000000% an album that can cause skeptics to make a complete 180 Just like you and Guilt Trip, Ive seen the entire album goes from hated to adored by some people. it takes time and an open mind -- that is, if you already didn't love it right from the start
Feb 5, 2015 Good topic @Narsh. After the top three is where it gets really hard for me, but I love seeing how diverse everyone's rankings are. Love every song, but I'd probably rank the tracks in three tiers: Hold My Liquor New Slaves Blood on the Leaves I'm In It Send it Up Black Skinhead Bound 2 On Sight Guilt Trip I Am A God
Feb 5, 2015 Yeah thats the thing. I already loved the album. I was just really sleeping hard on Guilt Trip. s--- is my fav song off the album now
Feb 5, 2015 Yeah Guilt Trip is great. I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion. But I honestly think Cudi was a big influence on Kanye's music between 08-10 along with his mothers death. Kanye said plenty of times during that time that Cudi was his favourite artist & there is simarities between MOTM & MBDTF.
Feb 5, 2015 I totally see where you're comin from with this teir system, but lmao @ guilt trip being in the same tier as I am a god Ones a 3/10 the others at least a 7/10 Personally I'd rate I am a god like a 5 and guilt trip a 8.5 (at least)
Feb 5, 2015 complete opposite for me. You already how much i loved the album as a whole from day 1, and I'm in it was defintely one of the songs I was championing, but as time went on it got a bit more stale. Not nearly enough to ruin the song or anything, but it lost a bit of its appeal. While HML, BOTL and NS are still just as compelling Well, I'd actually group HML with Im in it in terms of losing a bit of its appeal - but yeah, I'm in it has degraded a bit for me over time Guil trip is one of the few songs on Yeezus that still sounds special to me even after hearing the album over 100 times Idk what it is man but that hook, that beat, the cudi feature. It's just so engrossing
Feb 5, 2015 I love Guilt Trip, It's just a matter of me liking the other songs on the album more...but you're probably right that it shouldn't be on the same tier as I Am A God. I just didn't want it to have its own tier, lol.
Feb 5, 2015 BOTL NS HML -------------------------- I'm In It Guilt Trip Bound 2 -------------------------- Send it Up Black Skinhead On Site -------------------------- I Am a God maybe this? haha
Feb 5, 2015 I actually love I Am A God, Kanye did acid house better on his first try than any acid house artist ever. It's EDM I can listen to without feeling like a CAC
