Absolutely not. It’s something most people, myself included, figure out as they go.
Also today I picked up a prescription and learned that insurance can decide my prescription costs $50 instead of $10 in the same calendar year even tho I’ve been paying $10 for it all year. Luckily the pharmacy had a coupon so it came out to $14 but they do this s--- cuz they know most people won’t say anything or even notice.Sign Language, Slyk, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this. -

Facts. I only learned because of the 5 surgeries I had to have. Also made me realize most doctors offices take advantage of this lack of knowledge and over bill the f--- outta you.Slyk, Ordinary Joel, DKC and 1 other person like this. -

if you really want to have your pants blown off, look up "allowed amounts" or "contracts" between insurance companies and hospital organizations...
ex: if you get a knee replacement and have aetna insurance, then it's a different price than if you were to have that same procedure at the same place with the same physician(s) if you have a different (ex: cigna) insurance. this is because each insurance payor/plan has a different contractual agreement for every procedure that takes place. i.e., the hospital says "hey aetna, the knee replacement costs $60,000" and aetna responds with, "nah, we'll give you $38,000" and that's that.Ordinary Joel, Sign Language and DKC like this. -

spoke w/ a physician a while ago who has had patients come back angry because their medication he prescribed costed ~$500. He was then upset because he could have just as easily ordered a different brand of the same medication and it would have costed the patient $10, but he has no way of knowing which insurance will cover which brands of medication... absolutely insane.Ordinary Joel, Sign Language and DKC like this. -

It's the specific words not the sentiment that are the issue, saying "Reddit sucks" on a banner won't change our ranking but saying "f--- reddit" will affect it for the worse. Google doesn't like swear words which is censor are auto turned on for guests. It's dumb but it is what it is.
