    I supported Kendrick in the vote but there is no GKMC without Illmatic, it paved the way for kendrick

    illmatic is the most over talked about album in hip hop. I don't even think 90% of people on the net even like it. Its just the cool thing to say.

    I was 8 years old when illmatic came out. I had to go back and listen to it appropriately.

    I actually heard stillmatic first before I heard illmatic. My dad wasn't really into east coast hip hop until I moved to Detroit.

    I feel like the ppl voting GKMC never listened to Illmatic...

    NY State of Mind is arguably the GOAT rap song, then followed by Life's a b----, world is yours, halftime, and the rest is just a work of art.
