this is almost definitely true. everyone who’s known jay says he’s extremely up on everything that’s happening on rap—as in, he doesn’t only listen to new releases, but combs through youtube, watches battle rap, etc.

he also reads everything. twice in my career i’ve gotten emails from him through an intermediary about things i’ve written, and only one of the things was about him. this isn’t unique, either: a good number of writers i know have had the same experience.

(fwiw all that communication is complimentary; i think he’s too level-headed to complain about something he doesn’t like.)

Something like this wouldn't really surprise me. I think Jay as a person comes off as all business and fake, but all the same, Funk Master Flex is a f---ing loser. He was relevant when I was growing up and regular radio was still big. Now he's just an old has-been clinging to relevance by taking shots at people way more successful than him. Fat boy needs to drop the bomb on himself

JAY-Z is as elusive as its gets when it comes to social media but according to Funk Flex, there’s a reason for that. During a recent Instagram Live session with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the veteran Hot 97 host was noticeably hyped up when he essentially took a shot at the Roc Nation mogul.

“You know why he can’t be on social media?” he says around the 17-minute mark. “Because he’s the most sensitive muthafucka on the planet and he can’t take n-ggas in his comments telling him the truth. He can’t take it. He can’t open up social media. You know what Jay does? He watches social media from a fake page. I’m giving you the truth. He has burner accounts and will comment”

I was working on a case to expose him... I was going to need the mods help.... but that was when @Koolo hated me... so I wasn't going to get it and eventually dropped the project.

I really don't understand the idea of posting everything on social media. Like you are essentially inviting everyone to pry into your life uninvited. I absolutely hate social media and everything it's done to modern culture except when it comes to promotion.

I think for em a lot of times people around him just show him comments and what not. I know Royce for sure has done that for him.

I definitely believe it. I also believe a lot of artists probably do this as well.
