    the best songs on late registration are among kanye's best (including literally his best). but it's the only one of his albums that's seriously hampered by sequencing. unlike college dropout, the skits actively detract from it. there's no momentum in the beginning then none at the end. i'm splitting hairs--it's still probably a classic, the margins here are very thin--but yeezus is probably a better overall album. @Swizz and i were talking about this the other day in our treehouse.

    Yeezus is one of those albums that comes with an experience. I listened to MBDTF a few times when it came out. I wasn't the biggest Kanye fan at the time. But when Yeezus leaked, I played the album nonstop for a year. Clearly they're VERY different albums (which is why I love Ye), but the experimental, industrial aspect of Yeezus is the of sound I actually prefer. It's a new sound that I needed.

    As a Hip Hop album, MBDTF is a classic. Kanye's best work in the industry. But as a musical piece, Yeezus has slowly become my favorite album ever.

    The sign that Kanye is goat for me is that I see all these lists from you guys and I'm not mad at any of your placements, because they're all great albums.

    Other than Cruel Summer being his worst, it's pretty cool how different everyone's rankings are. Just shows how diverse/great his catalogue is.

    50 told me go 'head switch ya style up/and if they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up

    I also like that line because it's Kanye quoting 50 quoting Lloyd Banks
