Feb 10, 2021The College Dropout turns 17, and Tyler, The Creator’s Yonkers turns 10.
it’s kinda crazy to me that these two releases are only 7 years apart, and we’re now 10 years out from the latter. Like, the 7 years between 2004-2011 to me feel like a lifetime, but from 2011 to now seems like a blink of an eye.
Family Business is still the one to me off CD. I’d rank it 4th in his discography behind MBDTF, Yeezus, and 808s. But it’s the best out of the college trilogy.
It’s also nuts to see Tyler’s progression since Yonkers. And how he managed to turn a viral song into a flourishing career.

Ahhh yes back then when everyone hated on Tyler for eating a cockroach, not knowing what a rollercoaster of musical output he would release in the following years.Jay Zeus, Ordinary Joel, RetiredAccount and 3 others like this. -
