Introducing: 26ar
26AR watched Brooklyn — his hometown — hone a genre in Drill music that’s become the largest movement since the curation of Trap music, from behind prison bars. While 22gz, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow, Bizzy Banks, and plenty others were further expanding Drill’s influence, 26AR was writing raps eager for his freedom.
By the end of 2020, 26AR has easily become one of Brooklyn’s most promising artists with the release of his debut, Drench Em. In his music, 26AR is confrontational, lacking any trace of fear, and he’s wearing Amiri jeans when he’s doing his street dealings. His lyrics are filled with warnings to his enemies that are like vivid portraits with flashes of violence that are balanced with his flexing of designer clothing. 26AR is the next step for Brooklyn Drill, taking the idea of the music itself and creating his own interpretation of it.

Bruh I love it that he flips the classic brooklyn drill sound and puts some more variation and samples in it, but still keeps the energy the genre is known forOrdinary Joel, Sav Stanfield and RetiredAccount like this. -
