Mar 2, 2021 Nearing 4 years since Soft Sounds from Another Planet The queen is back and is upbeat after years of grief! https://michellezauner.bandcamp.com/releases Shoutout my fellow Michelle Zauner fan in @Fire Squad! @Chrollo, @Donkey Kong Country, @Jeans you guys might like this. @Pandemic too
Mar 2, 2021 Yep! Just a solo musical project but she has a consistent band for stuff like live performances etc.
Mar 2, 2021 You've put me on Soft Sounds From Another Planet through @Fire Squad rating albums thread, and I loved that project. Very excited for this. Gonna listen and report back
Mar 2, 2021 I implore you to give Psychopomp a listen which was her debut album. I tend to interchange between that and Soft Sounds as my favourite from her.
Mar 2, 2021 If I’m being honest I’m kind of tired of female fronted soft indie but lately I’ve been really into Phoebe Bridge (which is just that) and I’ve always liked that road head song so I’ll check this out and report back
Mar 2, 2021 @Bourbon Ben put me on the Punisher album by Phoebe which was beautiful so I'm in the mood for this rn
Mar 2, 2021 I'm not an indie head by any means as I've picked and chose bands instead of following that genre too intently. The ones that stood the test of time for me are mainly this band, Alvvays and Big Thief/Adrienne Lenker's solo stuff.
Mar 3, 2021 Done with my first listen on Psychopomp and I really enjoyed it. My favorite tracks so far are: The Woman That Loves You, Everybody Wants To Love You and Jane c-m. Be Sweet is also amazing, love that vintage pop sound and the hook is mesmerizing
