i think eminem took up more space culturally, because beyond his music—which was obviously huge—he was this lightning rod of controversy. but confessions is perhaps the biggest album of the century when you consider how massive each of its singles was and how long their runs lasted. it was an absolute monster, and if you try to isolate the music, it was bigger than any em record.Ordinary Joel, RetiredAccount, Pandemic and 1 other person like this. -

definitely Eminem especially around europe.
Eminem popularity back in 02 was incredible.
His peak was when Lose Yourself was out with 8 mile.
There was spme many tv eminem specials on MTV UK i remember at the time. Lose Yourself was everywhere.Ordinary Joel, Kujaku67 and Chad Warden like this.
