I'm pretty sure no other rapper has the versatility in beat selection like Push does.

Just finished relistening and it’s better than I remember! Better than MNIMN? No sir, not a chance in h---. But IYKYK, WWMD, and Infrared are great songs. Didn’t like the other very much. Weren’t bad but not for me. Not a song on here better than numbers on the board

We’re back for week 3 folks, and you know what it is. Last weeks poll did not go the way I thought it would, with Daytona getting 2/3rd of the votes (I still disagree and you guys are wrong, MNIMN is better you fools). Anyway, it’s a new week with a new artist.

DMX was requested by one of our fine users a while back when I was still brainstorming this thread and he was planned for this week even before the terrible, terrible news. It’s only fitting we get here together and respect a legend and decide what sxn 80s favourite album from X is. It’s hard for me to say and I’m going to do a full relisten before casting my vote, as usual. Let’s go

Think you could make a convincing argument for either of the first two. Went with It’s Dark but Flesh of My Flesh is just as good.

This is hard. Imma go with It's Dark since that album is a f---ing masterpiece in my eyes. His run from 1998-2003 is f---ing amazing. Year of the Dog was aight but kinda repetitive. Not a fan of Undisputed at all tbh. Didn't even bother to listen to redemption of the beast since it was released without X's permission.

I started relistening to his entire discography as soon as I heard the news. I'm half way through Grand Champ so far.

For now I'm going to say It's Dark and h--- is Hot but I feel that's the easy answer. I find Flesh of my Flesh over-rated and I'm I'm finding Grand Champ to be glorious, albeit slightly over produced for someone as grimy as X and way too many features.

Not going to cast my final vote until I've re-listened to everything.

I picked ...And Then There Was X but it could honestly be a toss up between that It's Dark and h--- is Hot and The Great Depression.

Redemption of The Beast shouldn't count as an official album imo.

Toss up between his first two. It's tough for me to wanna vote against an album with the line "I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse/I got blood on my d-ck cuz I f----- a corpse" but I've always kinda liked It's Dark and h--- Is Hot more.

For me, the first THREE are all tied. All amazing and classic, near perfect albums so in order to make a decision I had to look at the package as a whole. In the end, I decided on Flesh Of My Flesh because honestly it’s the best cover of the 3 (if not all time)

I'm gonna listen to FomF again after I'm done with Undisputed and Redemption of the Beast coz I se to be remembering something entirely different to y'all.

Also, just want to add that Undisputed is a f---ing amazing album!

It's been ages since I've listened to his albums other than the first 2 (which I still occasionally revisit just because of how d--- good they are), but man, And Then There Was X and Grand Champ were vital to my introduction to hip hop back back in the day. Great Depression too, although I never got into that one as much. But in terms of his overall catalog, its gotta be Its Dark and h--- Is Hot. Thats a contender for Top 10 hip hop album of all time. I've seen it being described as the Dante's Inferno of hip hop, just a journey through h--- told in the voice of a half-man-half-dog on a murderous rampage.

@Jeans you've got the right idea though, I think I'mma need to relisten to the full discog.
