    I'm not trying to be mean, but like...the whole song, basically. You try to fit too many words into each bar and it sounds like you're trying to make the beat follow your flow instead of making your flow follow the beat. It ends up feeling like you're kinda just talking over the beat.

    Stevie's rapping at like half the speed you are and it fits the instrumental much better. There's nothing wrong with rapping slowly, and it would sound much more natural on a song like this. Turn each bar you write into two bars and it won't sound like you're trying to cram too many words in.

    d--- my bars are already only like 4 to 6 words, that’s already way shorter than I used to do.
    but okay I hear you, I’m working on another song right now already that is much slower so we’ll see how it turns out.

    well I think it's less the number of words and more the number of syllables—it might not need to be exactly half as many, but I'd just take a slower, more-laid back approach to it

    I think actually the majority of my album is slower and more laid back aside from like 3 songs so hopefully they sound better. I’ve had it sent off to people for reviews and s--- before even sending it to distributors. I’ll keep working on the syllables and slowing down though.

    Do you know how to actually write to the beat? As in 16 bars for the standard verse, matching the BPM of the beat. Listening to the track I can't tell when one bar ends and another begins. It's just a mess of words. The fact that you don't hear it doesn't help either. I feel like everyone has tried to spell it out for you enough. IDK what else we can say lol
