May 8, 2021I’m at the castle demo area now. Though I like survival more than action, the action set pieces have been dope so far...on hardcore the first time you face a hoard of enemies it felt as hopeless and intense as the first part of RE4, which was the first one I ever played so I was terrible at it and it was difficult for me lol

Basically you can start with any of them, but I'd start with ones made on the RE engine (7, 8 and the remakes of 2 and 3) cuz they're the most modern.Wreckless, Ordinary Joel, Yeez and 1 other person like this. -

@yeez2
The older games (0, 1 OG/1 remake, 2 OG, 3 OG, Code Veronica) are more survival horror, have an isometric view and have some dated game design for sure but they're worth playing.
4 moved to 3rd person and is more action-based. 5 and 6 are the same but co-op.
7 (and 8) is in first person view and went back to its roots as more survival horror based. Been awhile since I've played 7 but it was like 75% survival horror / 25% action. I'm hearing 8 is the opposite at 75% action / 25% survival horror.Ordinary Joel, Yeez and Guma like this. -
