May 11, 2021 I’m sure this has been done before, but listened to GKMC and TPAB straight through and started questioning everything. I was always in the Good Kid, M.A.A.D City or d--- camp, but curious what everyone thinks. On another listen of To p---- a Butterfly, I’m having second thoughts. I need to give Section .80 another listen (aye shoutout), but vote and give your thoughts.
May 11, 2021 To p---- a Butterfly but it’s hard to get through if you’re not in the right mood. GKMC has a few joints that just work to throw on and is a classic. d--- is super overrated imo and his worst album. If we’re counting Section .80 then my stance is this: TPAB > Section .80=GKMC > d--- and Overly Dedicated falls in between GKMC and d---.

May 11, 2021 TPAB is arguably the best conceptually written rap album of all time. So id say thats his best album. Ive gotta be in the right mood to listen to it though. My personal favorite is section 80 though. d--- is overrated af.
May 11, 2021 Like cole, all Kendrick albums get overated tbh. Mainly because most of his fan base only listen to Kendrick or j cole so they don't have anything to compare it too
May 11, 2021 I think TPAB is a more interesting record overall, but it's eccentricities make it less replayable than GKMC, which has so many timeless tracks on it. Both are 9/10's to me. I honestly didn't love d--- beyond a strong start and end. Section 80 is cool for what it is but I have no attachment to it.
May 11, 2021 Honestly, they are all overrated. d--- is 2/10, KGCM is 6/10. The rest fall somewhere in between.
May 11, 2021 TPAB & it’s no contest. Everything about that album is lightning in the bottle — pure artistry at its finest.
May 11, 2021 TPAB and it isn't even close. The instrumentals are f---ing beautiful and the lyrics... holy s---. GKMC is second and while it's good I just don't think it's as great.
May 11, 2021 my favorite is a tossup between section.80 and d---, but best is prob GKMC. I feel like people went sour on d--- over the past few years but it's held up extremely well to me.
