    Yes, he is. He is a rapper so he RAP, don't say he's a wack rapper just cause you don't like his content.

    So yeah, he is a good rapper. He just can't drop a decent project, but each of his project had some really dope cuts.

    Banks never made anything as good as Purple Haze, SDE, Come Home With Me, Diplomatic Immunity, the list goes on.

    completely disagree about em now vs then. He certainly has *more* punchlines now but they’re largely corny and tryhard. Back then he sounded effortless and smooth and actually had charisma. Content on slim shady LP/ep is way better too. Rock Bottom, Role Model, Murder, Murder, brain damage etc. What people supposedly love about em now is he just raps his a--- off but he did that in the late 90s except it sounded way better. Compare just don’t give a f--- or bad meets evil to s--- he does now.

    “These bars are like covid I get it right off the bat” is something your dad would say that makes you groan.

    Like I think MTBMB is a solid effort and exactly what late-career em should be doing but comparing it to slim shady LP is insanity. It’s like when people say 4:44 is better than reasonable doubt or the blueprint.

    post some songs and I'm willing to give him another try, but I'm still scarred from when @Lil Squeed told me he was a good rapper and then sent me a mixtape where he raps over Recovery beats :emoji_skull:

    yeah its arguable SSLP remains em's best album, second only to maybe relapse lol. nothing against mtbmb its solid late career work, middle of the peak considering the high highs and v low lows.

    and cam is incredible lol. the new j cole album suffers immensesly whenever cam stops speaking

    Bro. Absolutely not. SSEP/LPera Em is during the height of his powers. His features were insane during that period too.

    I understand how a g-unit fan could prefer Lloyd Banks over Cam’ron but objectively it’s not even close.

    I'd say he was alright f---ing shame they killed him off in dark fate so early tho.
    Jokes aside he's the prime example of a good feature rapper. His features are pretty good but I probably wouldn't be able to listen to a full album from his but idk I haven't checked his s--- out in a long time lol.

    And cam's mostly boring to me unless I identify with the killa cam personality he has which is hilarious. It's just like I hear his music a lot and go "why did I like this?" the. I see the video of him spitting in the face of a 5 yr old girl and I go "ohhhhhhh"

    Completely honest I never listened to him aside from his verses on Compton. Which were fine. But I listened to the song @Ricky posted itt and I thought the same a few people said; dude can rap! But would I listen to this song again? Nah. I like to hear impressive rapping on a song , but only like once or twice. Sonically it has to impress me to make me go back to it. Good verses/rapping or lyrics only do a little for me if I don't like the overall sound.

    Now I know Ricky loves bars and straight rapping so I 100% understand the appeal Connor has on him and others that feel the same way.

    Banks is better, that's a fact, he's just less popular and yeah, MTBMB is better than SSLP, SSLP is iconic indeed, but its just funny rap at this point. Modern day Em > SSLP Em
