    Royce's diss was baaaad. Baaaaad. I'm not the biggest fan of either of them and I respect their abilities, but my god. Awful.

    Lupe got him good here. "Your penmanship has the finger prints of a gimmick, and affecting the intimacy of impressions of that n----- you friends with"... was cold.

    Thoughts on Royce track: This is the most boring diss I’ve ever listened to. Not even cappin. It’s word vomit, juggling Multis aren’t impressive when they’re aimless. He’s trying to look impressive when he’s honestly just rhyming words together. He makes you read a lyric page bc he think it’ll go over our heads lol. Bro this s--- was wack as f---. Not enjoyably to listen to and isn’t even a good rap.

    It’s corny when they resort to violence, if people treat it for what it is, people writing the biggest insults they can & whirling them at each other, then it can be entertaining.

    It’s a good format to see how well songwriters can handle the conflict too. It’s a dying art.

    Mickey also roasted Royce. d---. I filled the holes in my Lupe Fiasco discog off the back of this.

    Royce is a walking talking L right now and I can't believe it. He asked for everything that is coming, literally putting out a public challenge to rappers a few weeks ago. He called Lupe a b---- and then put some shots on his new track, but thinks he's too 'real' to respond to a diss. Involving his rapper friends at this point would be the WORST decision ever. He's being hammered for being scared and for not standing alone. We know he can write a good diss, just f---ing hit back you moron.

    Lupe is in a real good mood and not bothered... our stupid equipment kept failing when his DJ was doing something after the first verse of "Kick, Push"... so, he turned it into a 7 minute song... repeating the 1st verse 4 times before it worked... the crowd loved it.


    There isn't a song Royce has that he could do that on... and if he came up to my club he would play inside... we closed the street and had a block party for Lupe.

    I was joking with my comment you quoted but I’m absolutely serious that I don’t consider Royce a top 200 rapper. There’s a lot of rappers!!! Straight up! I enjoy Lil Pump but he’s not a top 200 rapper either lol.

    I have no issue with someone putting Royce on their own top 200. Obviously Royce can rap. But the idea that he’s a top 25 working rapper or whatever is ludicrous to me lol

    i posted that because it has lyrics on, not because someone has highlighted the rhymes (they usually miss a few every bar anyways) and who actually uses rap genius this decade?

    not sure why everyone always uses the same tropes to downplay people’s abilities that are associated with em, in either insulting us the fans, or just the artist solely on the basis they’re in ems camp. yes royce does get overrated by em’s stans but we’re not saying he’s the best in the world are we? this is an apparently serious conversation about whether he is a contender for top 200?

    if you can’t hear or see the talent in that video then you’re just being purposely ignorant, because I know you’re capable of seeing rap skill, i know you’re half trolling, as have i, but come on now

    also when it comes down to it, i see a lot of the side of the argument against royce is to do with his song-writing, but we’re talking about rap skill, of course the guy can’t make a song for his life, that’s obvious
