    a bad rapper to me is someone that can’t rap for s---. Logic can rap well. Guys like Lil Uzi Very cannot rap well.

    A good rapper will string multis, flow well, etc etc logic does that to a high standard.

    If you asked: is Logic a good artist, I would say no for obvious reasons…

    But if I'm being honest I've also sh---ed on artists that people like and after typing this I still will so I guess it's just a natural response that people seem to have. or it's the internet's fault but i wouldn't know cause I don't have a frame of reference of music conversations in a world without the internet lol.

    I never really listened to logic outside of hearing like 2 songs once or twice but I have no problem if he wants to keep making and releasing music if him and his fans are both happy

    The only problem I see with his music or any other technically proficient rapper is that their fanbase is s-----y to any music they don't like

    But that complaint goes on both sides cause people shi--ing on someone you enjoy can also be pretty frustrating sometimes for example @Ricky with Royce lol

    The “rapper” or “artist” argument is so tired. f--- your boxes y’all put people into. If he makes rap music he’s a rapper. f--- your syllables and “technical” way of looking at things. Go read the lyrics then if that’s what does it for you

    Uzi is a pretty good rapper I just wish his voice didn't make his music almost unlistenable for me. Same as Kendrick, playboy carti and yatchy btw

    Personally when I ask if someone's a good rapper I'm always asking if they're a good artist/make good music—why would I care if someone is good at rapping if their music sucks donkey d-ck?

    That's a narrow view of what makes someone a good rapper if you ask me, and I ask the question in this way because there's so many ways you can you be a good rapper. Stringing together multis doesn't automatically make you good (just peep our creative sxn and look how much terrible Em karaoke there is). Lil Uzi Vert can absolutely rap well lol—just cuz he doesn't rap in the same way as a more "traditional" technical rapper like Em doesn't mean he's bad. Like you said yourself, flow is important for rap and the way uzi flows and floats over beats is one of his best qualities as a rapper.
