Never cared for Cuomo. He had some good moments, I think he showed some great leadership qualities during Hurricane Sandy but ultimately he botched the Covid response and he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. I also know some people who were laid off because of his policies. It is what it is. He had to go. It’s sad that NY can’t just have a legitimate Democratic governor. Eliot Spitzer resigns years ago, now Cuomo. Cuomo also renamed the Tappan Zee bridge after his father. I think they need to change the name back to the Tappan Zee.
It was so weird cuz all the boomers/silent generation in my extended family (who live in WA and OR aka extremely far away from NY) had a really good impression of him, I assume mostly just because he was on liberal TV news every day lol. I just remember them saying s--- like “I hear he’s doing good things for COVID in NY” without listing (perhaps not even knowing) any specific things he was doing. There was even that brief time where people wanted him to run for President instead of Biden lol
