    Rappers would cycle through multiple beats per song in the 80s due to sampling laws not existing yet. Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys probably did it most often.

    Guys I was thinking about this while listening to the GOAT’s MMLP2 and Revival (Bad Guy and Castle/Arose) today and thought, who started the beat switch era? Kanye? Tech N9ne? Kornball Kenny? Q-Tip? Migos? Might even go back to Frank Sinatra tbh.
