    Carter 3 is a good album but due to leaks it's not even really the best representation of how good of a rapper he was during that time. You really gotta look at all the mixtapes (both fanmade and official), all the albums, all the features, AND all the loosies/leaks/singles to really get the full picture.

    just relistened to C1 through and it’s seriously mid af, i’m sorry

    wouldn’t put a single song over anything like lollipop or a milli

    the carter 2 intro, middle and outros are also quite a bit better than walk in/walk out. most of the beats just don’t age well for me sprinkles with unnecessary mannie fresh hooks and birdman reminding me not to talk to him unless it’s about the mfing money

    wouldn’t put c1 over any of em’s first 3 either actually, a decent warmup but ranking it over c2 is just fake woke indie music reviewer s---

    Had those leaks remained on the album. Remove the filler and keep the best songs from that era that were supposed to make it on the album.

    You got one of the best hiphop albums of all time.

    You're right about Carter 3 taking a hit cause of the leaks tho. The OG version is better.
