1. Racism, Homophobia, & General Bigotry
We take pride in the fact that this forum has a truly global user base that extends to every (habitable) continent on earth. However, this is an American forum based around (black) American music. We don’t expect everyone to 100% understand American race relations and culture, but we do expect you to try and be willing to learn—especially as fans of hip-hop. It’s fine to joke around—but bigotry for bigotry’s sake will not be tolerated.

2. Exposures/Doxxing/Stalking
Posting another member’s photos, social media accounts, or any personal information they have not publicly shared on SXN80 is not allowed under any circumstance. This includes sharing other members’ information in private. Doxxing will result in a long-term, or permanent ban.

3. Respect & Attacking Other Members
Beefing has been a staple of rap forums since their inception, but we still expect people to treat each other with a basic level of respect. Any sort of interpersonal/beef threads should go in Off-Topic, and please respect the wishes of posters who do not wish to be involved. We want SXN80 to be a place where people can freely discuss their real life issues, struggles, and search for personal advice. Be courteous of that. Do not negatively attack users for opening up.

On the flipside: don't dish it if you can't take it.

4. Spamming
We encourage you to make as many threads as you want, so long as they're thoughtful or interesting. Before you make a thread, think about whether it's something that needs its own thread or could just be posted in ArtistSXN chat threads or ongoing album threads. When it comes to posting inside threads, double or even triple posting is fine as long as it's adding to discussion. Similarly, bumping old threads is completely fine if you want to continue discussion—just use your best judgement (i.e. don't bump a thread from 2015 thread called "new eminem song dropping tomorrow" as it will cause confusion).

5. Mention Groups
The artist mention groups should only be tagged for big, tangible news (a new song, album announcement, new music video, etc.). For minor news, you can use the superfan tags (such as StanSXN, YeezusDisciples, WoesSXN).

6. Off-Topic Threads
Oftentimes, threads naturally go off-topic as discussion gets more in-depth or heated and there's nothing particularly wrong with that—it's how conversations go in real life. I'm not really a stickler when it comes to this stuff for the above reasons, but if you feel that your thread has been hijacked feel free to reach out and the off-topic posts can be split into another thread. Mods and admins may do this at their discretion as well.

6. Alt Accounts
The occasional alt is fine as long as it's not disruptive to the forum. Creating an alias to keep posting while you are banned will result in your ban length being reset or increased at staff’s discretion.

7: NSFW Content (p---, gore, etc.):
Gore is not allowed to be posted under any circumstances. Any pornography/nudity posted in the public SXNs is also a bannable offense. Any and all nudity needs to be contained to the NSFW SXN. That said, NSFW isn't an "anything goes" SXN—use your judgement—any egregious postings here are also subject to removal and can be considered bannable.

Any inclusion of underage nudity, pornography, photographs, artwork, and/or, but not limited to discussion is treated with zero tolerance. Any instance of this will be handled aggressively.

8. Download Links
Posting links to download albums, songs, and other pirated media is not allowed—aside from in [redacted]. If you don't know what I'm talking about, legend has it you must Seek The Orange Flame™ and you shall be rewarded.

9. Bans
We’re all human, and we all mess up. For that reason, we believe in giving people second chances. In general, we try to ramp up ban lengths before resorting to permanent bans, but ban length is always up to staff’s discretion.
