Nov 1, 2021 Meek Mill and Keyshia Cole are giving a message to those who may want a record deal in the future: know where the money is going. It started when Meek hit Twitter and expressed he hasn’t gotten paid for music. “I haven’t get paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me!!!!!,” Meek wrote. “I need lawyers asap!!!” He would respond to fans who made the solution seem as easy and asking the label. “ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist? i’m about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!” Keyshia Cole would see his comments and chimed in. “Never received a check from any record label, period,” Cole wrote. “But I just thought about that the other day. It’s nothing wrong with Obtaining Audit Atterney’s so that you’re aware of where every dollar went. Trust me. A lot gets ‘Lost in the sauce’.” Would you be interested in seeing Meek’s deal? https://thesource.com/2021/10/26/me...im-they-have-never-received-money-from-music/
Nov 1, 2021 Keyshia Cole, a musician: "Never received a check from any record label, period,” Cole wrote. “But I just thought about that the other day."... really?
Nov 1, 2021 lol after how many years is it just dawning on you that you haven't gotten paid for your content? gtfo.
Nov 1, 2021 How can this even be possible. I mean somehow I’m sure it is. But not Getting paid for the first album should be time to call a lawyer. Not album number 4.
Nov 1, 2021 I'm pretty sure Meek got a $20m cash advance for his albums and Cole got a $7m advance for her albums and they don't get the concept that that is how they were paid. Normal people don't show up to their first day at Walmart and their boss is like well... you'll probably make $750k here over the course of a 20 year career... so, here is a check of $750k and we'll just keep your $1,200 biweekly pay checks for the next 20 years.
