    ================================================================================================================

In this album I wanted to portray the feelings of the artist Costello (completely random name I thought sounded cool), mainly with the vibes and feeling you get from the songs. He starts off the album very depressed and angry at the world. The first 5 songs are either sad, mad, or both. They don't give off any vibes that would cause the listener to become joyful and feel good about him or herself, and that's what Costello was feeling at the time. Then, during track 5 & 6, he uses marijuana to escape his problems. These 2 songs are much more blissful and chill than the previous 5 and it shows the transition in Costello's feelings after the drug. From track 8-13, they progressively become brighter and much more joyful to listen to. He starts to feel good about himself after smoking weed (Can't Tell Me Nothing, Crooked Smile) and the overall tones to the songs are brighter.

The album title and album art were chosen to follow the theme of the album. The "Fine Line" is referring to the weed and how it can change his mood from sad to happy very easily. The dark side on the album art represents his depressed state, the green (the "Fine Line") represents the weed, and the white represents, of course, his happy state. I included 2 versions to the album art. The minimalist approach and the one with text on the front to give it more of a gritty vibe and also to include the album title somewhere on it.

***Album art completely made by me***

The way this game works is that you will use existing songs in any order and combination to create a wholly unique fictional project.

    ----------

    Participants:
    Narsh
    Flacko
    CharlieWork
    ToPimpALegend
    Im Broke
    Ordinary Joel
    Final
    VMO2
    Chigzzer
    Dester23
    ChanceTheRapper

    Judges:
    Sheriff Skippy

    ----------

    Rules:
    -Album/Mixtape must include 10-18 songs.
-Whatever song you include, the main artist will be counted as your fictional rappers' contribution. So, say you post Renegade, you're spitting Jay Z's verse in that scenario
-No more than 3 songs by the same artist, no more than 2 songs from the same album
-Just post the song names, no links, judges will find the songs on their own and listen so as not to clutter the thread with videos
-No using content created by actual users, meaning no @LasiK, @Narsh, @Jet, etc.
    -No exclusive leaks
    ----------

    Critique:
I will be the main judge (if anyone else wants to assist in judging PM me) and I will be looking for the following
-Length (if it's 10 tracks it may be too short unless you pull an Illmatic, and on the reverse end if you go with the max 18 songs your project may suffer from listener fatigue)
-Sequencing (For instance, Drake's My Side -> Kanye's I Am A God would be terrible both sonically and thematically. Bonus points to songs that sound like they naturally flow into each other, excluding tracks that actually do in their original form)
-Theme. If you don't have one and just go for songs that sound well together, a la Barter 6, that's fine. But extra points will go to people that can form a consistent story (minor details such as an artist referencing their city or a fellow rapper won't be counted off ofc)
-Quality. Ofc the actual quality of the songs will come into play as well, meaning if you chose a bunch of IceJJFish, prepare to lose. I'll be pretty open-minded about songs so even if it's a song I personally don't enjoy, if it's objectively good I'll give you points for it.
    ----------

    Format:
    [Project Title-Rapper Name]
    [Full track listing, including features]
[Brief synopsis of any story, if applicable. Be sure to list the relation of each song to the story]

    ----------

Currently in sign up phase. If you wish to participate, say so in this thread. If you wish to judge, PM me. If you are accepted into the contest, you may post your entry.

    Call it Karma:
    1. Art of Peer Pressure- Kendrick Lamar
    2. Collard Greens- Schoolboy Q
    3. Legend- Drake
    4. War Ready- Rick Ross
    5. 22 Offs- Chance the Rapper
    6. Like Toy Soldiers- Eminem
    7. Blocka- Pusha T
    8. Jesus Walks- Kanye West
    9. Uptown- Travis Scott
    10. No Exit- Childish Bambino
    Bonus. Paranoia- Chance the Rapper

Setting: Chicago summer, Sean and Tre are two boys in adolescence who find them selves in Karma's hand.

    Art of Peer Pressure:
Sean and Tre rob a house that they've been camping out for like two months. Sean is unsure about it but his long time friend, Tre convinces him to go through with it despite his worries

    Collard Greens:
After hitting the stain, the two reap their riches and have a night of partying full of drugs and alcohol, not think of their possible consequences.

    Legend:
*cough cough (foreshadow) cough* Tre is so proud that him and Sean were not caught that he thinks of himself as a "legend" of sorts

    War Ready:
After just doing a big deal down at the docks of Lake Michigan, Big Eddie comes home to find his house completely trashed. A neighbor said that he heard it and called the police but the kids had gotten away by then. He calls up his inside guys in the police force and has them tail the boys at school.

    22 Offs:
Sean and Tre notice that a cop has been following them since they left school to walk home. The cop gets out and approaches them and Tre jets while Sean is frozen with fear. Sean goes with the cop for some questioning.

    Like Toy Soldiers:
After Sean is released from some intense questioning, he sees the police at Tre's house. He goes up to the house and learns that his life long friend was found shot dead in the street.

    Blocka:
With Tre's death still fresh on his mind, Sean gets a 9mm (a nine is called a blocka due to the sound it makes when it is shot) and prepares to get take his revenge on who ever murdered his friend. (Keep in mind that Chicago is riddled with gangs, guns, and drugs. It isn't hard to believe that a highschool senior in Chicago could get a gun and have murder on his mind).

    Jesus Walks:
At Tre's funeral a week later, Sean sees a black car pull up on the side. A tinted window rolls down and a man smiles and gives Sean a wink. The eye contact is maintained until the car pulls away, while Sean has one thing on his mind. Murder.

    Uptown:
That same day, Sean gets in his car, filled with adrenaline and rage, heads back to the very house in he hit a week and a half ago. He gets out of the car a couple blocks away and walks with death in his eyes.

    No Exit:
After killing the man he saw at the funeral (Big Eddie) his heart is pounding. He hands fidget to find his keys. He nonchalantly drives to the docks of Lake Michigan to dump his body...

    Paranoia (Bonus Track):
Weeks pass but Sean is still filled with paranoia and is constantly looking over his shoulder, never knowing if he'll be able to let his guard down.

*I titled the album "Call it Karma" because Tre and Sean hit the stain. Tre is murdered by Big Eddie (the owner of the house) which is karma, and in turn Sean murders Big Eddie which is karma for killing Tre.

Doesn't even have to be primarily rap. Interludes and or instrumentals can work well with these types of things. As long as it's hip-hop it's aight.

56 Nights Brazy: a story of love, lust, and loyalty.
    1.
    1017 Thug - Young Thug
    "2 Cups Stuffed"
As the DJs inevitably make room for each others laptops in between sets, a lull befalls the blue-hued club previously riding a molly-high. Under the crescent of the dimmed lights, Young Thug fidgets with his bling — he doesnt know anyone here. As the club’s booming sound system come to a silence, Thug’s inner soundtrack kicks in — he just needs 2 cups stuffed. The Rich g--- hop out the club and into the whip. They’re riding with legends and all these b------s want to meet them. Almost instinctively, “2 Cups Stuffed” bursts to life the minute they hop in the Bentley.

    2.
    Rich g---: Tha Tour Pt. 1 - Rich g---
    "Tell ‘em (Lies)"
Thug and Quan pull up on that p----, eat on it, and dip.

    3.
    Rich g---: Tha Tour Pt. 1 - Rich g---
    "Pull Up"
As they’re dipping from pulling up, they get pulled up on. Shots are fired, shots are dodged, and then they pull up to a strip club: but can’t decide between Magic City or Follies. Also, it should be noted that, young n-----, Thugga’s diamonds are yellow like he goes to Benjamin E. Mays High School.

    4.
    Barter 6 - Young Thug
    "Dome (ft. MPA Duke)"
Diamonds they shower they shower Thug, and he’s got like 5 million and 12 hundred thousand hoes drippin’ all over his mofuckin’ clothes. SKURRRR — Thug and Duke are off their dome, they can’t make it home. I don’t think they should be driving.

    5.
    Monster - Future
    “March Madness”
It’s been 56 d--- nights and DJ Esco is finally sprung from jail…Future contemplates on the shattered state of race relations in the United States. Even thought he’s balling like the march madness, these past few months have been full of marches, riots, and protests for his fallen friends and family. In his community and nationwide. He tries to get Thug to listen, and add his two cents, but Thugger can’t seem to speak unless a DJ tag is dropped. We shining, we getting money, mutters Thug. Future smh’s.

    6.
    56 Nights - Future
    “Codeine Crazy”
Future can’t seem to break out of his introspection, and Thug’s disillusion and disinterest in reality only sends him further down the rabbit hole. Only his fantasy is reality marked by his war crimes. He has PTSD, yet he’s the pillar for the same community that gave it to him. When Thug calls to check up on his slime, he says he's celebrating like the championship — but it isn’t all that convincing.

    7.
    ThugGate2015 - Young Thug
    “Flaws”
After Future nearly OD’s, Thug pleads for all to accept him and his friends, flaws and all. Gucci sheds a tear from prison.

    8.
Brick Factory: Volume 2 - Gucci Mane
“Home Alone (ft. Ca$h Out, PeeWee Longway, Young Thug)”
Home alone, Thug senses Gucci’s tear telepathically and sustains one, overlong, wail in reminiscence of his slime.

    9.
    Lobby Runners 2 - Quavo
“Trapper Girl (ft. PeeWee Longway, Young Thug)”
Thug weaves together a heartfelt forewarning to future brodies — how many times does he need to tell you to keep the weed down? The windows may be tinted, but they’re rolled down. Just. Listen. To. Him. For. Once. He doesn’t want anymore of you arrested. :emoji_slight_frown:

    10.
Brick Factory: Volume 3 - Gucci Mane
“Ain’t Going Back (ft. MPA Duke, Young Thug)
Gucci pens a poem from prison and sparks an intense debate with Thug about the life of someone who habitually frequents the pen. Slowly, Thug’s reluctance to reach out fades. T.I. coaches him towards making the first step in repairing his friendship with Gucci. Thug answers the next time Gucci tries to call, and they have a heart to heart. Thug reveals that he aint even like to rap, but now he gets over 9k racks per show. OVER 9K, exclaims Gucci, clearly shocked. Once they’re bool, they both do the respective parts of their handshake, miming the motions in mid air with one hand, their phones to their ears in the other.

    bonus:
    11.
    N/A - Young Thug
    "Everything Gucci”
    Everything’s gucci. #FreeGucci.
