I had to listen again before posting. I don't have many things to say since everyone has done a good job so far, but a few general thoughts: the production is fluid, very atmospheric and it was easily the highlight of my first listen, a while back. It's dynamic to a degree that this would be a good project without any vocals.
The vocals themselves were a bit underwhelming for me at first, his voice isn't bad but it's kinda lost in the instrumentals if you don't pay attention. Focusing is rewarded though, because his imagination is wild and he makes many clever, "sneaky" references in his tracks (even from the start, with the line @Ozy posted I was thinking about this.) The rapping is also very well executed. I agree with @Fazers that this is a very interesting project, and definitely draws your attention for them and their music.

edit: yeah these tweets are actually dope man.

I haven't had a lot of time this week hence why I haven't been active on S80 all week. If I don't get around to this tomorrow, I definitely will on Saturday. I listened to a few of the songs earlier in the week and liked them. I'll be sure to add more before Sunday.

I really like this type of music, it kinda reminds me of Atmosphere, the production has a lot of quality, I had listened to their other albums, they do a great job in deed. The artwork of the album is accurate to what are you listening to, I will listen to it again when I have the chance to do it stoned (just to experience with new sounds while in that state) So, yeah, it's always nice to listen to different things, thanks @CharlieWork, even if my opinion is nothing special, I do enjoy being part of this club.

Jason Graham (IIRC) does all of their artwork. He's a local tattoo artist. Shows in the style of it once you know.

Not sure I'll have much to bring to the table from the good job everybody has said covering this EP, but here goes.

As soon as the first track started I got hooked. It's hard these days for an album to get me excited and into as quickly as this one does. It reminds of the music Atmosphere makes and a little bit of Gorillaz (two different groups and music, but that's the feel I got.)

It's an album that you can crank up the volume to, kick your feet back, relax and enter a 6-track world thanks to this EP and your imagination. Lyrics are on point, and while the EP is a couple years old it still sounds fresh, and is certainly on par, if not better than what some artists are putting out nowadays. Might sound predictable, but I love every track. Not one track is of 'meh' quality and are all worthy of more than 1 listen. However, there are stand out tracks, mainly Kerosene & Fireflies, Dance In The Dungeon and the amazing Dreams & Clean Weapons.

An EP that's a must listen to and a duo worthy of your time. Jellyfish Brigade have now become a part of my music catalogue thanks to this amazing EP.

Knew nothing about this release going into it and thought it was a great project. The MC sounds a lot like Aesop rock at times in that he enjoys being verbose. Production is as weirdly enjoyable as advertised, and my only real gripe is with the hook writing. It was hit or miss for me, but more because it got a bit repetitive at times.

On my phone and just wanted to get my 2 cents in. Will try to add more later

Great discussion guys. Glad you took the time to check out a group that I'm a big fan of. Here are the results of this week's lottery:

So with that, s---t me a PM @Jimmy with your pick and include an introduction to it if you'd like. Remember, it doesn't have to be hip-hop.
