He used scaffolding tubes as ballast and cut corners... his portal window was rated for less than a quarter of what he was diving.


You work on scaffolding... would you use those parts for a $100 million submarine?


Would you use a strap that is rated for a ton and lift 5 tons of bricks and stand under it?

I got smacked in the head by the cement mixing cage once. Didn’t get a concussion but had to get stitches in my head. Once I saw they were using a Xbox controller or maybe even a n64 version to control tech, they played a dangerous game that comes with dangerous consequences.

But no, I’m not standing under tons of bricks. I was reading about some sketchy material they were using for this. An extremely dumb idea.

The US Army uses Xbox controllers for UAVs & Submarines, the controller is the farthest from the most problematic part of this project. It should still have a fail safe controller input though regardless.
