    Don’t get me wrong there were definitely some gems, more like it was a time when they were learning how transition instruments into technology.

    True, I’ve already seen a bunch of videos on this very topic. People forget that you actually need skill to make good music. Artists like Olivia might make it look easy, but it’s really not. Making good music can be hard work and blatantly copying a good artist when you have no skill of your own won’t automatically make your song good.
    Yeah unfortunately that’s what usually blows up

    The blatant attempts at TikTok hits over the past few years have been pretty bad. Some of these AI songs people be making are garbage too. Not much interesting going on in mainstream pop besides Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish. I’m already hating the rise in popularity of country again. Rappers playing with their fans about when they’re gonna drop an album is also annoying. This current era definitely has some annoying aspects, but nowhere near the worst.

    I fablooping hate Party Rock Anthem but I love it at the same time. That era was probably the worst but unfortunately it was also the era where I went through puberty. So LMFAO molded me into the man I am today (I have severe attachement issues because the women I loved disappeared the same way LMFAO did)

    I find that the EDM pop of the late 00's/early 10's is at least more upbeat and catchy than the pop of today

    Idk if I'd call it the worst confidently but I think the 2010s EDM'ification of pop is pretty awful, s--- like The Chainsmokers making awful music that gets billions of views.
