It's not a random bump because I was listening to these songs today and fair enough it is a known fact how much I love Eminem's hooks, singing and melodies. But there's more to it then that because while it's the hooks and connecting with his emotion that make me love his music , make me a fan, made me buy his albums. The hook is what I look forward to the most on his songs but then I used to go back and appreciate the verses even though it's the hooks that I love his music for. I could at least before go back and say yeah that verse was dope the effortless way he rapped, he disguised the lyricism so well, that slow melodic flow. He rapped with so much soul but didn't sacrifice lyricism just disguised it made it subtle. It was so perfectly balanced

All boxes ticked perfectly. He had the catchy hooks and melodies, emotion, disguised lyricism, beats, great flow, deep content, story telling. Was so complete as an artist

moral of the bump being his catchy hooks made people appreciate his verses and rapping even though it's the hooks we love his music for. When we went back and re winded the song we got to appreciate the verses

Can't say that now because the whole overly mechanical, technical, robotic rapping and verses he provides now are so unbearable to listen to. In 2017 the only thing he is great at is hooks Jet was so spot on with this thread

Em needs to start making his own hooks again.. I'm so sick of him getting these b------s to do the hooks for him.. It's annoying

but still realllllly struggles when it comes to constructing verses

messy flows
strange deliveries
weird voice fluctuations
cringe punchlines (like he really cannot write a decent punchline. at all.)

but oh well
