Dec 8, 2025 Nah 'Stimulate' doesn't fit at all. It's a great song but doesn't sound right on TES. Every song on TES somehow fits, even though he used different styles of beats entirely sometimes like... 'Without Me' vs. like... 'Sing for the Moment', but I think because he produced everything, and made it all within the same sessions, it's got this DNA which connects; 'Stimulate' I believe was from 2001, sort of transition period between MMLP & TES, and Devil's Night era, which is exactly what it sounds like.
Dec 8, 2025 "I've started working on a new album. I've been doing songs in between producing Devil's Night" @ 3:10: SFTM and Cleanin' Out My Closet are definitely some of those songs from 2001 he's talking about. No doubt the MMLP/DN voice. Stimulate actually sounds very close to Without Me if you listen carefully. Compare: "You thirty-six-year-old bald-headed f--, blow me You don't know me, you're too old, let go" "And it's such a pleasure, every button that I touch I treasure every glutton that I punish in my lust"
Dec 8, 2025 Fuel should've had a music video. But yeah, it feels like Business as a single. It was at least a single.
Dec 8, 2025 My highly trained expertise regarding early Eminem recordings leads me to believe SFTM, COMC and Hailies Song are the three earliest songs recorded for TES. ELAM somewhere after this. The next batch of songs were likely Soldier, SGTH and Superman, whilst he was going through his court case and sentencing. Then Without Me somewhere in the summer of 01. No Apologies comes around fall 2001. Then we get MDGC, Business and Say What You Say from the Dre sessions late 2001. Finally, maybe early 2002, we get Square Dance, White America and Til I Collapse. The latter two personally think you can really start to hear the aging voice kicking in, the strain on his throat just creeping in. These are all just educated guesses btw. Primarily just going off the sound of his voice.. Correct me if I’m wrong
Dec 8, 2025 Dad's Gone Crazy is another one with the more mature-sounding voice. I wonder to what degree this was on purpose since that Elam freestyle was in late 01 or 02 (recall Proof shouted out "I think my dad's going crazy" at the end) and curiously his voice there sounded like it hadn't aged a day since MMLP.
Dec 8, 2025 Oh, you thought it was over You can just close the chapter And go about your life, like it was nothing You ruined mine, but you seem to be doing fine I'd never recovered but tonight I betcha that whatcha 'Bout to go through's tougher than anything I ever have suffered Can't think of a better way to define poetic justice Can I hold grudges, mind is saying: "let it go, f--- this" Heart is saying: "I will once I bury this b---- alive" "Hide the shovel and then drive off in the sunset"
Dec 8, 2025 lmaooo it’s true, I actually love this interview…interesting to hear someone behind the scenes like sha money - didn’t know much about him…get rich is def top 3 or 5 albums of all time for me, probably #1 or #2
Dec 8, 2025 I'd say it's top 10 oat but sometimes I prefer Power of the Dollar which is also a classic hip hop album. You like POTD brother?
Dec 8, 2025 Its pretty tough holding this website together with the only active actual music discussion thread. I know most people on here would rather troll, argue, belittle everyone or rate Every eminem. But the @AOTWClub actually holds this website down for its actual purpose. So sure we could "start a new era". Or we could actually engage in music discussions like the site was meant for.
Dec 8, 2025 100% classic. How to rob, ghetto quaran, your life’s on the line, you ain’t no gangsta…grimey especially with originally 50 voice pre shot I think the Em/Dre influence just made it more polished and pretty amazing timing having all 3 at the same time working on that album prime Em full in with hungry 50…Dre actually interested
