    I mean yeah some people use therapyspeak to be manipulative and I'm sure there are also compulsive liars who would lie about something like this for attention but the automatic assumption that people are lying about this s--- is why so many people don't speak up about it in the first place.

    Kanye's clearly been having an extended manic episode so it's certainly possible it's not true...people who are manic do lie about things sometimes but when they lie they often genuinely believe what they're saying is 100% true, like it's basically a hallucination or false memory they believe bc they're mentally ill.

    but imo a traumatic experience like this seems is pretty in line with informing the way he's acted his whole life—major insecurities despite a huge ego (or perhaps stemming from a huge ego ie clearly being super jealous of Drake/Kendrick/Carti/etc. being more successful than him now), general overcompensation, the hypersexuality/p--- addiction/being a colossal pervert, not being able to regulate emotions, etc.

    it's not an excuse for the general fuckshit he's been on but it certainly helps explain it
