Put them on your own list. I don't know about top 10. They fizzled out pretty early on.

smh. even Iron Flag and The W have a solid handful of essential tracks. sometimes i wonder how deep your familiarity with rap really runs.

How many of their top 10 tracks are on their first album? At the absolute least maybe 4.

i shouldn't have to point out how ludicrous it is to frame an argument this way. Illmatic probably has six or seven of nas' ten best songs. that doesn't invalidate the rest of his catalog.

honestly, yes, i'm picking on you because you're sensitive, but someone needs to call you out: i don't think you know many of these groups that well. i don't think you've listened to all their work. if you're going to penalize wu-tang (and goodie mob) for having preposterously high peaks that outshine the rest of their work, how the f--- is three 6 on here ahead of de la? i love Mystic Stylez as much as anyone--i'm writing about it for pitchfork right now--but if you put their catalog together with de la's, guess which group has four of the top five albums?

i don't think you could have an informed conversation about a public enemy album other than Nation or Black Planet. you can replace the latter half of that sentence with a lot of different albums by groups whose names you just typed.

Honestly I was listening to Da Unbreakables today and thought I'd get a discussion going about rap groups. No need to take it too seriously hombre. True, I haven't listened to everything by these artists, nor do I think this list will be the same when I do. I fully expected you to pick me apart. Not a big deal tbh.

I'm glad Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is atleast in the discussion, most of the time I see best rap groups brought up I hardly ever see them. Probably gonna be a stupid question but it does severely impact the list, when it comes to groups are we counting duos or strictly groups with 3+ members?
