The only weak track to me so far is Gunfire and even that is still a decent song. The run Mass Appeal has been on this year is crazy. A bunch of older hip hop acts making good albums and challenging the old narrative that hip hop is only a young man’s game. Hip hop is shedding those limiting beliefs:emoji_raised_hands: we got people of all ages dropping heat.

I appreciate the different perspective. I’ve obviously heard Mobb Deep songs before but this is my first full album from them. I wanna go back and listen to the classics
Yeah it’s not really something I believe, it’s just something I used to hear people say all the time. Maybe it used to be a young man’s game at one point, but times are changing. We’ve never had rappers show longevity like they do now. Plus, a lot of the most popular rappers right now (Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Young Thug, etc.) are in their 30s or 40s. Meanwhile not as many rappers in their 20s or younger are blowing up. A lot of the best rappers in that age group are barely mainstream or underground even. Obviously we still have some rappers blowing up in their 20s but not as many as before.

I think people thought that once you get to a certain age you lose your passion for rap. Clearly that’s not true for everybody. There is no limit to creativity, people just place those limits on themselves really. Somebody like Nas or Black Thought could rap until they’re 100.
h--- yeah. The worst one for me was Slick Rick’s new album even though that was still good to me. It’s hard to pick between Raekwon’s, Ghostface Killah’s, and Mobb Deep’s new albums right now. I’ll have to listen to all of them a bunch back to back because they’re all so dope
I can’t wait either. I’ve never really dove deep into Big L’s discography but I always watched compilations of his craziest punchlines and they were awesome. I can’t wait to see what they do. Drake might not even drop this year after Taylor Swift dropped and after he lost the lawsuit he had against UMG/Kendrick Lamar for Not Like Us. Drake isn’t real hip hop anyway

Sidenote shout out Mr. Magik that’s another song that stood out. I think @CAGE and @Made in abyss would be interested in this album too

I’ve only listened to half the album but so far it’s good. Look At Me, Down For You, and Taj Mahal are definite standouts
