Jul 14, 2015 6- part miniseries by David Simon and directed by Paul Haggis Part 1 and 2 debut August 16 at 8pm
Jul 14, 2015 Simplistic, heavy-handed treatment of race relations; contrivances that give the impression LA is populated by 17 people; blunt, on-the-nose dialogue; silly forced epiphanies and climaxes (Sandra Bullock realizes Mexicans aren't so bad after falling down the stairs); characters who are merely ciphers, developed only enough to advance Haggis' pat themes. To be fair, however, most of Crash's problems are writing related (direction adequate) and since Mr. Haggis doesn't have a writing credit here, there might be some hope.
