    Yeah, his career took off because of gimmicks. I don't want to see a 42 year old who is average nowadays do gimmicks but that's just me:colerly:

    I've always thought he should take a shot at a concept album. I disagree with all of your other ideas though.

    Oh and btw OP, creating a new "gimmick" on the tail end of his career would be an absolutely s--- idea.

    An Eminem v. Joker album to appease a very few thousand forum h---s? I'm not gonna lie your post sounded corny as s---.

    See I think your wrong. I think 2014-2015 em has been mostly a step in the right direction. I like KND and phenomenal, they're enjoyable for the most part. All I think about isn't bad either (raw is s---). There were bright spots on XV too, fine line, GoF, psychopath killer...
    If he can balance songs like fine line, kings never die, and content from his medicine man verse over dre/premo/his own beats, he is capable of putting out a solid album. Mmlp2 also had some bright spots but was brought down by terrible production and inconsistency. Also I think the phenomenal soundtrack is the closest we'll get to em doing anything with a concept behind it, I just don't think he is that creative anymore sadly (no drugs).

    This. 2014 and 2015 have been steps in the right direction. I think the main problem for him now is production and songs as a whole rather than his verses.
    GoF and KND are great examples. GoF had some of his best post hiatus verses, both of them definitely top 10 post hiatus but the chorus is truly woeful. The beat was good over the verses but the switch up and the chorus itself was just awful and takes away appeal from the song, it should have just had Sia's build up until the beat switches then cut to the bridge.
    KND had good verses, the chorus was good as it suited however, the production is just bad, the beat itself doesn't interest me in the slightest and takes away a lot of the replay value.

    He just needs to start making his own songs.. Like every part of it.. Make his own beat and own hooks.. Feel like they just keep bringing him beats with some b---- singing the hook and he writes his verses.. He has to become creative again and do an album that's ALL HIM! Track 2 ends with "I'm just playing ___ you know I love you"... Track 18 starts with "a lot of people ask me".. d--- it writing this just pissed me off.. Putting on The Eminem Show to calm me down
