Nov 29, 2014 Oh boy getting the popcorn ready for this thread Drake had the best verse on f---in' Problems Slaughterhouse are a great group and get too much negativity, especially since signing to Shady Records Kingdom Come was a pretty great album
Nov 29, 2014 E. 1999 Eternal is the closest thing to a classic, that BTNH have; it might actually be one (from the lower tier tho, it could use some trimming). Of course I'm talking about the original version! iMayday! make the best music in Strange (mainly because of Take Me To Your Leader). Apollo Brown is one of the best producers imo, I'll also mention L'Orange who doesn't get the love he deserves. And about something that was thread-worthy in SL, GRODT is def not a classic. /will post again, that's it for now hi
Nov 29, 2014 Chamillionaire still makes dope music Bun B is better than p---- C (not sure if this is unpopular or not) Thoughts of a Predicate Felon was a dope album. A$AP Ferg is better than A$AP Rocky. Wale is the best MMG member (again, not sure how unpopular this is) Nothing Was The Same is Drake's worst album. 50 doesn't have any albums that are good front to back (and on another note, BISD is his best)
Nov 29, 2014 Id disagree, partly because that would require immense skill on 50 Cents part. That being said, the album is enjoyable, but I'm not sure I could stand it up against other classics. Then again, I'm pretty strict in my criteria for classic. Most people say Eminem has 3 classics, but I don't consider SSLP a classic due to the fact that it functioned more as a sampler of Eminem's many styles and less like a cohesive project.
Nov 29, 2014 f--- that. GRODT is no classic and it hasn't been even when it initially came out. i laugh at how often people use this word on the internet.
Nov 30, 2014 grodt is a classic. there haven't been album with that much hype after it. it was unreal. even the nerdiest backpacker nerds studied the album. hype behind carter 3 comes close, but it wasn't global phenomena. no rap album have been like that. kids in kazakahstan were screaming gggggg-unit rocking g-unit hoodies. just because of one album. in da club is top 3 GOAT clubs songs. and other hits whew. and the great songs. k-dot got a classic cure for insomnia
Nov 30, 2014 I'd place "The Blueprint" around 4th-6th in Jay-Z's catalog. Production was phenomenal, but his lyrics were dumbed down quite a lot.
Nov 30, 2014 I don't know if his other classics are better but I listen to them more often (TBA gets the most plays). I wouldn't place The Blueprint below '4' though
Nov 30, 2014 Personally I think The Massacre > GRODT Also at the guy that said BISD is fif's best album Curtis is better than BISD
