Aug 23, 2015 I see it in the same boat as his other post hiatus albums. Overall it's good, it just doesn't come very close to his prime material. He set the bar so high with the first three that's sort of what people have come to expect from em, and they'll take nothing less. Also on each of the three post come back albums they have all had a few great things about them and a few things that bother the listener, he can't seem to put a project together with good flow, good content, solid theme, good delivery, and good replay value. Seems to me like he chooses 2 or 3 of these things at a time
Aug 23, 2015 Because hating Eminem and his projects are what the cool kids do Other than a couple tracks, I like it. So an album with "a lot of mediocre tracks" is better than two of his first three (near flawless) albums?
Aug 23, 2015 This was something I had to adjust to when coming to this website. I was just so used to people liking it the most of all post-hiatus albums, and on here a lot of people say it's the worst, and even Encore was better. To me it is easily better than Recovery, Relapse, and Encore. You make no sense. You come off as the biggest stan in the world who devotes his music-listening time to almost strictly Eminem and yet you say stuff like this, which basically states that an album with 'a lot of mediocre tracks' is better than two of his first three albums? How? Like HOW?
Aug 23, 2015 Most people agree that it's his best album since his come back. It's a good album, nothing more than that, really nothing to hate about it.
Aug 23, 2015 It's not a bad album. It's just very average, forgettable, and meaningless. Most of the songs were just rhyming about nothing, and it was very noticeable after Recovery, an album with a central theme and great content throughout. Oh and by the way, Don't Front might be the worst song of his career. Easily the worst beat he's ever rapped over.
Aug 23, 2015 Lol how could this be the second best album of his career? You really think it's better than (2/3) of his first three classics?
Aug 23, 2015 He is just 13 i think MMLP2 made him a Fan like relapse did it with me. Maybe thats why i like relapse so much and he MMLP2
Aug 23, 2015 I think it's as good as his first three albums because of tracks like Rap God (rapping speed), Legacy (rhyme scheme), Bad Guy (sequel to Stan that is actually as good as the original), Brainless (Classic feel), Headlights (touching song apologizing to his mom for all the horrible things he said to her over the years), and the songs like Don't Front, Baby, Bezerk, Rhyme or Reason, and Wicked Ways are just fun tracks to listen to. There are flaws in this album, but at the same time there's a lot of things done right and it's clear that this album was made for the fans, more so than any of his other recent albums. There's so many references and inside jokes in it that you can tell he made it for long time fans, and I think the only reason so many people dislike it is the production, and the name. Change the name to something other than MMLP2 and people may have liked it a lot more, because it wouldn't be seen as a sequel to a classic. Also, one other reason I think this album is so great is probably because I don't have a nostalgia feeling with his older albums. You guys grew up with his earlier stuff and I didn't, so that's probably a reason why I find it better than most people here. I'm not saying nostalgia is the only reason why you guys dislike the album, but it may be one of the reasons.
Aug 23, 2015 You don't even know what fast 'rapping speed' is. Just like most of the other mainstream fans or Eminem-only stans, you think the supersonic speed section of Rap God is some super impressive thing that no one else can do. It's cool for him, and I'm glad he did that in such a popular song....but this is not something that real hip hop listeners should be so shocked by to the point of were I would say "Oh yeah, Rap God is great because he raps so fast in it!" .
Aug 23, 2015 Actually, the first full Eminem I listened to was Infinite while I was in New York baxk in January of this year. I reviewed the album, and my friend said she was looking forward to seeing more reviews from me, so I decided to take a look at all of albums.
Aug 23, 2015 How would a 13 year old like you just end up listening to Infinite before Eminem's other albums?
