Aug 23, 2015 So I was listening to Sing About Me, and I like d--- that's so goood. So I'd like to know if any of you consider that song a top 10 rap song OAT and if it's Kendrick best song.
Aug 23, 2015 LMAO holy s---, top ten rap song of all time? are you f---ing serious right now? bruh.. how much rap have you even listened to? Ain't no way any of kendrick's songs a top ten rap song OF ALL TIME. the dickriding is pervasive no more pain by pac s----s all over any song kendrick has ever made and i wouldn't even put that song in top ten rap songs OF ALL TIME , jesus f---ing christ this forum
Aug 23, 2015 Never said it was a top 10 OAT, that was just a question. I don't even think it is, just wanted to know if people think it's one of the greats
Aug 23, 2015 Although I love Kendrick's songs, and have a lot of respect for him as an artist, I agree. NMP is godly
Aug 24, 2015 One could debate that. That song is f---ing brilliant in every way possible.. Like it's hard for me to even wrap my head around how good it is lol. Listened to GKMC all the way thru the other day again, I can definitively say that it's by far the best album I've heard since the eminem show
Aug 26, 2015 I don't think it's top 10 oat, maybe top 50 or 75 Definitely top 10 Kendrick song though
Aug 26, 2015 You really need to calm down. It's perfectly plausible. You can disagree but it's perfectly plausible. It's a very hard hitting song. I'm maybe a little biased because I identify with it to some extent and the topic of the forgotten/less fortunate youth is something I really care about. I can confidently say I'd put it in my top ten across all genres. Can you explain? Or @BigCountry ? or anyone. I'm just curious on peoples criticisms of the song as I find it almost perfect. I remember @WPG saying it's self-indulgent, but I've never really understood the use of that phrase or why it's used as criticism. Art generally is self-indulgent. I guess in this case because I'm so captivated by the subject matter, whatever motivation Kendrick had behind making the song doesn't bother me. It's clear he genuinely cares though and really wanted to make the song.... yet somehow that's flipped into a criticism of the song. For me, that's one of the reasons i enjoy the song so much. If this is the main criticism of the song, I'm just hoping someone can help me understand a little better.
