Sep 3, 2015The concept of traditional Christian heaven is such a selfish & ill-conceived idea. People are fed this mindless tale of an afterlife without taking the logistics into consideration.
"Let's do nice things while we're alive so we can walk around in robes after we die!"
Heaven is:
Obviously not everyone's idea of heaven is the same, but when you think about it, everything you couldn't do on Earth is what you'd want to do in heaven. Sex with multiple women. Drugs. Alcohol. Eating without consequences. Being lazy. Being selfish. Sleeping all f---ing day. Those aren't heavenly practices. If that's all I want to do in heaven, should I be allowed in? If I can't do those things in heaven, is it even better than Earth? It's a selfish paradox.

- Nice people
- That's it
It's like a child thought of this idea. Or just the first humans that evolved into worshipping the Sun whose brain was the size of a raisin.
It's sad that educated humans need the threat of imprisonment in a fiery torture chamber for all of eternity just to be good people.

The logical side of me say no, once our body ceases to function, that is it. We are put in the ground to rot away or we burned to ashes.
The hippy side of me likes to think that our soul/mind possibly keeps existing. Not in the sense of being a ghost or going to heaven/h---, but as energy on this earth, something something magnetic fields, I dont know. Like I said I'm not coming at this view logically.Jordan, MTY, Cyreides and 1 other person like this. -

How can you take the notion of outer space and it's vast, infinite, ever expanding wonders and not, even for a second believe there's anything after this life? What's really the crazier idea, that we have 100 billion galaxies with things that we could not even begin to conceive as factual, or that you have a soul? To each his own, but it's pretty clear for me.Ordinary Joel, M Solo and rapmusik like this. -
