that's not a good definition of what an industry plant is. i'd limit it to artists signed to major labels who are deliberately packaged as independent to deceive the public for any period of time. some people (including me) also use it when an artist with no organic support is shoved down our throats (i.e. travis scott), but that's less nefarious.

So to be a popular artist, you need to collaborate with disney artists (or beiber), get radio play and have a drake feature?
I don't even think I can name a single artist that meets all those criteria...Ordinary Joel, Deadpool and Cyreides like this.
