:idk: I'm not saying they're leagues apart or anything.

Like I said in that earlier post, I'd rather listen to Take Care, but NWTS is a better album to me. Take Care is really good fam, but it carries baggage. It's great in that it's central identity lays the groundwork for the sound coming out of Toronto right now, but it could have done without 'We'll Be Fine' and 'Make Me Proud'. Even 'Lord Knows', which might be a top 5 song on the album, leaves something to be desired. The production on that joint is grande, and at points Drake drowns in it.

In comparison, Nothing Was The Same is a more methodic approach to crafting an album. And that doesn't mean that its systematic or anything, it's still a very organic listen. He did without the excess too, 13 tracks was a great choice. Furthest Thing, Hold On, Too Much, From Time, Own It, and Pound Cake/Paris Morton are in the conversation with the highs of Take Care. Thats 6/13 tracks. And the rest are either good or great. You could make an argument for 305 To My City, but that's pretty much it.

Again, I would rather listen to Take Care but NWTS is the better album. Not by a lot, but it's still better.

It's a great album. I still prefer Take Care over it, but the album is pretty solid.

Tuscan Leather is top five beat all time to me :idk:

Its that good. A great as Drake is, I got 40 higher on the all-time producer list than I have Drake on the all-time rapper list.

40's that good. I just wish Drake used him even more but VFT6 will be mostly 40 so that should be promising.

NWTS looking back, was a fantastic album. :mynig2:. Tuscan Leather, Furthest Thing, Worst Behavior, Pound Cake, In Time etc. Holy s--- those were awesome and still bump. NWTS is either his best or his 2nd best. Its a 9/10. I love how all the beats connect and give a togetherness feel. Still don't like "Started From The Bottom" Though. :cam:

I'm always so bothered at how that tracklist turned out. Cut 2-3 of the weaker songs and add in some of the ones you mentioned (All Me, Come Thru, Motion) and you have a much better album.

Having said that, like people said, this aged a lot better than expected. I love it

It's also my favourite track off this album. I'd love to hear more Drake singing on views. His raps have been very underwhelming lately and if the views is full of boring raps like on that future/drake tape, I will pass on that.

After listening to it front to back again, id say it's a good album, definitely not a classic tho

Own it and Worst Behavior could have been left off, so could have Pound Cake/Paris Morton

    Top 5:
    Tuscan Leather
    Furthest Thing
    SFTB
    Hold on We're going home
