May 20, 2017 I love Don't Front more than almost every other song he released post hiatus! I'd have to think about it, and it's probably not number 1, but it's definitely in my top 5 or top 10. I like this song even more because I grew up on Duck Down with Black Moon (Weight of the World was my jam in high school haha), Heltah Skeltah, Boot Camp Clik, etc along with Wu tang, Biggie, Big L, Pun, Onyx, Lost Boyz. I could go on and on. I wish Em used more old school beats. Who knows, maybe it would make him take it back and revisit old topics and inspire some s--- worth spitting instead of random objects that make no sense whatsoever. In this particular case, it clearly sparked 3 incredible verses. I want more dammit! Edit: Completely off topic, but Onyx's first 3 albums are f---ing insane. Just throwing it out there for the youngins on here who like classic head nodding New York grimey rap.

May 21, 2017 They Want EFX! They had the song No Diggety before Blackstreet released their smash hit No Diggety haha. Man Das EFX were so dope and innovative back in the early 90s. I assumed I was the only member here, who not only used to listen to them 20+ years ago, but the only member in this section who even knew who they were haha. At times I feel bad for today's youth who grew up without the 90s New York hip hop scene. There were sooooo many dope albums all coming from New York throughout the 90s. New York's reign kinda ended with 50 Cent if you think about it. In regards to 50 and New York's reign, I'm referring simply to sales and owning the charts. Edit: Off topic, but I wish this forum had a "golden age" section or 90s section or some s--- where we can discuss and share music from back then. It's funny cause when I was living through the 90s and 2000s, old school was late 70s through the 80s. But I guess now my prime years are considered old school haha. I'm an old a--- man!
May 21, 2017 For sure! That would be phat phat phadadadadat and all that! I would live there on the other side of this 8mile section lol.. I thought I was the only one too. Some of the discussions I let myself get into here lol. I love 90s hip hop Rap and some RnB. My collection is basically everything released on a Tuesday from 1997 on. Obviously I own a ton of other s--- as well. Don't forget those "actual" mixtapes you could pickup at the local hip hop shop selling those Paco jeans.! LMAO! Dope @Buddha
