Virus?

    I just got a pop up that had the official chrome logo and an automated voice saying that "i have adware or spyware and that i need to call a number and fix it before doing any online shopping". I wasn't able to exit my the pop up and i had to restart my computer. I'm doing an antivirus scan right now and i have no red flags. WTF was that thing?

    any time you see random a tech support pop-up and its asking you to call a phone number to fix your computer then it is infected with a form of adware

    With all this adware and s--- I'm scared to update anything on my laptop. Soon as I get a noti I'm praying it's legit

    @DetroitSkills, I looked it up and all im seeing is that those "tech support" pop ups are scams.

    I've only had AVG once and it blocked me from accessing the internet so I uninstalled it. But it done the trick while I had it.

    It did that to me but i disabled the safe browser and reinstalled chrome.

    2. Malware bytes
    3. AVG or any other trusted antivirus
    all these 3 things and you're set
