It's a debate that's been held for several decades. After years of controversy, I ask you Sectioneighty, Is Hip Hop itself misogynistic? Rappers definitely use the word 'b----' far more than any other genre. However there are plenty of artists who don't use that word, so is the culture/genre itself misogynistic? Or is it just on an artists to artist basis? Is this potentially a problem that goes deeper than the use of certain words, but more along the lines of a way of thinking or ideology? Is it perhaps just certain sub genres? Or is it more prevalent in "Mainstream" or Commercialized Hip Hop? Is it true at all? If you feel like Hip Hop is misogynistic, do you see that as a problem of the past, something that is no longer a problem, or something that has continued into 2015 and beyond? Discuss.

Hiphop is a culture, And this culture has it's own values and own taste. the best thing in hiphop is it uses the universal language to convey a message to the society which what music has to be in the first place, and hiphop is a music genre which was evolved through out decades and now it has grasps almost every genres attention which has break obstacles of the differences. It is true most of the hiphop songs carries a strong rage towards it's words, but what people needs to understand that, hiphop comes with the influence of Rap, and Rap is a sport. It's a competitive battle between. And Rap is a emotionally strong genre of music. And you can't ever forget one of the greatest hiphop icons like #TupacShakur who had very ferocious language on most of his songs holds a major hit like "Keep your head up" which was strictly dedicated song for women. and of course i could reference for good song such as How to love by Lil wayne. Hiphop is a culture which has given people to share their thoughts. #Srilanka
