Nov 5, 2015 This. Right now, at this exact moment Future might be more "relevant". But EM drops an album tomorrow and Future disappears into the dark. Even if the album is the biggest pile of s---.
Nov 5, 2015 Yes, among the youth who don't live in areas isolated from modern rap, future is more relevant to the scene and his songs and himself are more popular than eminem.
Nov 5, 2015 well, dude is the highest selling rap artist of all time, well... and this thread is pretty much the only active one atm we talkin bout relevance?
Nov 5, 2015 Lmao K i cant rly discuss this further.. but lol at thinking future is more popular Holy s---
Nov 5, 2015 Among the target demographic of festivals, future holds more bearing than eminem. I'm not debating that in the grand scheme of things eminem is more widely known, I'm saying when you eliminate soccer moms and people born in the 80s and people who live on farms and narrow into the teenage to young adult rap fan group, future is immensely more relevant and popular atm.
Nov 5, 2015 And if you're making a festival with a rap artist headlining, you'd want to focus on what's more relevant to that audience, not the most gentrified accessible material possible
Nov 5, 2015 But that's a whole lot of factors. And even if you eliminate all those factors, Future has no where near the same level of popularity. Man just f--- outta here lol
Nov 5, 2015 Literally this entire argument is based on the fact that y'all don't grasp that I'm speaking on festival-goers and rap fans at large not eminem whose fanbase is largely crossovers who minimally or casually listen to rap
Nov 5, 2015 Appealing to the target demographic is a whole lot of factors? Lmao you f--- outta here Stanley
Nov 5, 2015 Em has "faded" in terms of popularity since Recovery. But Em is still very popular. "The Monster" was a smash on the charts (Might Be Thanks to Rihanna). But Berzerk did modestly well to, and Rap God was all hip-hop talked about for a month after it dropped. MMLP2 was hyped beyond belief, which is probably why it was a failure to a certain degree. His singles after like "Guts Over Fear", Phenomenal" and "Kings Never Die" didn't do well, because their promotion was s--- and the music videos were s---. If he dropped a new song with a good amount of promotion now, it'd have 200 guest's on here, 80% of the users on here and plenty of attention. I'm afraid that's not the case for Future when he drops something (Even if it is better).
