    I do get what you're saying, that's why it's important for people to speak up and say something.

    I'll say this I was at a party once and there was a young girl who had gotten sloppy drunk and her friends had left the party to get some food..(she didn't come alone). Her friends hadbt returned for awhile and the party was beginning to die down. She ended up in the bathroom passed out butt naked on the toilet while a group of guys gawked at her and were trying to take pics and s---. So i made the decision to stay there with her until her friends got back because I didn't know what would have happened to her...

    I think its our responsibility as humans to protect each other, not blame each other.

    That's where it becomes a double standard because men are able to go out, get stupid wasted, and not even have to think twice about anyone trying to stick something up their booty hole...

    Not to mention, r--- happens to people who are sober AND people who are drunk. To highlight the fact that she was drunk places the blame on her as if she went to the party and asked to be taken advantage of. No one. Asks to be taken advantage of.

    Wow I'm reading the topic now and lots of people said basically what JMG said but less blunt.

    Yeah, in today's society, it's probably dumb for a girl to get drunk by herself with a bunch of random drunk guys she doesn't know. But that's at the fault of our society, not her. It's awful that our world is like this, but also sad that people resort to victim-blaming.

    In this scenario you should say something to the friend to convince him to not pursue her. If she has to be taken advantage of...it shouldn't even be worth it

    And do you think guys are going to have the balls to start fights with people who are rapists? You think teenagers or young adults are going to stop drinking, f---ing, doing drugs, at a party just to stop some dude from groping a drunk girl?

    No, you're not wrong, but here's the thing: Say I walk down the street in rural Detroit with a cane made of solid gold, am I not putting myself at a higher risk of being robbed? You have to be smart in life. Is it fair that women have to worry about being r---d when drunk? No, it isn't, but life isn't fair. Nothing is fair.

    If you get drunk, alone, around a bunch of horny drunk guys, you didn't think things through. Plain and simple.
