    Literally everyone in the thread saying Compton but 8 Mile is winning the poll.

    Compton easily, but 8 Mile's a pretty decent movie from what I remember.

    This is a very tough one for me. I think I give the slight edge to 8 Mile as the better overall movie. But Straight Outta Compton is more interesting because it basically covers the history of rap from 1986-96. Whereas 8 Mile is just "based on" Eminem's story with all the names changed etc. And yes I know some things were changed, left out, etc in both stories. But still, these are hands down the two best music biopics of all-time imo.

    8 Mile 10/10
    Straight Outta Compton 9/10
