Nov 9, 2015 So far. If I had to nominate a few I would say The Babadook & Unfriended. Other than that we also have the new Paranormal Activity but I haven't seen it yet, but I don't think it's that good. Going to watch It Follows this week, if the critics and fans are right I guess it will be between Babadook / It Follows for me.
Nov 9, 2015 1.) It Follows 2.) Goodnight Mommy 3.) Spring 4.) A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night 5.) The Nightmare 6.) Bone Tomahawk 7.) The Green Inferno 8.) The Visit 9.) We Are Still Here 10.) Backcountry Best year for horror in a long time.
Nov 9, 2015 Have you seen the Babadook? I have Backcountry and We are still here on my laptop, going to watch them soon. Some of those I didn't know, definitely downloading Nightmare and Goodnight Mommy
Nov 9, 2015 Why is everyone so high on It Follows? Yeah it's original in a sense but by the end of the movie, the scare factor has.more than disappeared. Badabook has that same effect. Creepy.and unique but by the end it's what you.would expect. I.Will say it follow does leave you with an open ending but I want a.resolution when I watch a film.
Nov 9, 2015 Pretty sure It Follows is the only good one right Babadook was good too, but came out last year, right?
Nov 9, 2015 The version I had said 2015 but you're right, my bad. Just finished Unfriended, was dissappointed tbh
Nov 9, 2015 ur own fault Consider it to be a 2014 film. While fairly above average in technical qualities, Kent too often falls back on trying to make a "scary" movie instead of expanding on the subtext that sets it apart from its influences. The Babadook is at its most interesting when not dealing in absolutes, and unfortunately there's too much emphasis on the literal representation of the titular character to allow Kent's other ideas to flourish into anything more than appended subtext. It's near the top of what was a pretty bad year for the genre, but I can't say I'm completely on board with the hype the critics have given it.
Nov 12, 2015 It Follows wasn't that great imo. Sure, a sexually transmitted it is original, but sometimes the movie abandons it's own rules just to (attempt to) be creepy. The Visit I thought was good for the most part, though some scenes were really stupid. Unfriended had a good concept, but ultimately just became silly. It lacks any replay value, and that ending is on some r-----ed Paranormal Activity s---. The only horror movie from this year that I actually enjoyed was Goodnight Mommy tbh. Just my two cents though
