Recovery's a better album than MMLP2 though, at least it's something out of the ordinary.

Every time I read one of these threads I feel better about myself to know that while I am a huge Eminem fan, I don't want to k--- myself because he puts out a mediocre album. Some of you guys take this s--- serious. And it amuses me endlessly to see people rate the album as an 8 or 9 out of 10 just to come back a year later and say it's garbage. Bipolar MFers lol.

Then in this case you have no reason to feel better about yourself because nobody wanted to k--- themselves over a mediocre Eminem album, and opinions change over time when you put things into a new perspective. It's not being bipolar.
So I guess you need to find other things to feel better about, if your opinion of yourself depends on stuff like this.

I really don't get the hate for MMLP2.

The worst thing about the album is the name. If it was named something original then our wouldn't be held to the same light as MMLP.

Bad Guy, Brainless, Evil Twin are classics imo.

You're right about the bonus songs though, if they formed part of the main album it would be a whole different story.

i dont get the hate though, mmlp2 was exactly what eminem should have been doing since relapse. Baby, rap god, legacy, bad guy, beautiful pain, groundhog day, love game, the monster, (yeah,he did another rihanna song, but this one was considerably better).

even the lesser songs like a------ weren't really less than average. its not like there was any truly awful songs. (so far maybe, but i didn't really hate the song, i just didn't take it seriously)

agree with op btw, relapse was f---ing awesome. In fact, Eminem is a f---ing hypocrite for turning on his own album in recovery.although he (rightfully) defended it later in evil twin.

people dont expect the best from eminem anymore, but i personally wouldn't be surprised if his next album wins a grammy or 2
