Nov 12, 2015 it's undeniably one of the three best albums of the genre, but be honest, when was the last time you listened to it in full? if it's been over a month, do yourself a favor--buy some $10 headphones, pretend you're 13 years old again, and listen to this masterpiece.

Nov 13, 2015 I regularly listen to NY State Of Mind, Life's A b---- or The World Is Yours. From time to time, I have to refresh my memory about how the perfect rap songs sound like. They've determined the highest standards in rap and thereby I'm able to rate current rap songs. As far as the whole album is concerned, I listened to it for the last time in summer.
Nov 13, 2015 Usually the individual tracks come up on rotation but in full probably a few months ago. I'll be bumping it on a more regular basis once I head back to grad school in January, helps a lot when in need of inspiration/creativity.

Nov 13, 2015 I'm not sure it's still in my iTunes library or not, so I'd have to go out of my way to redownload it most likely and try to listen to it again some time, but I just wasn't interested the last few times I heard it. Nas has only ever entertained me on one song, and it was a feature. But even then, the sound quality on the album is a huge turn off for me, so it's not something I'd probably ever listen to regularly even if I liked it.
