Nov 17, 2015 was thinking about this earlier, If it was titled something different maybe I would consider it top 5 album but the fact its the sequel to the MMLP makes me dislike it
Nov 17, 2015 No, he could name it anything and I'd still think it's hot garbage. His worst album so far.
Nov 17, 2015 If the title was different, Ive wouldnt compare it to the masterpiece / magnum opus / classic album The Marshall Mathers LP I hate the name but I dont hate on the album it was good album but not great like he used to h--- I listen more to Recovery album than MMLP2 Rick Rubin is not a great choice for Eminem. bring back Dr Dre
Nov 17, 2015 Yes.. People underrate MMLP 2 a lot. But in the future they probably gonna consider it as near classic. Remember when Koolo was saying it's 10/10 The Monster was a classic. People were crazy over the album most of them went far and said it's a classic. Look what happened now. They bury it. It's gonna change again tho..
Nov 17, 2015 Just tell me how a sequel to a MMLP could have been like ? he did a very good and creative sequel to Bad Guy, he gave some dope Shady tracks like Brainless and Evil Twin. He probably talked about Kim without naming in like 2 songs. He talked about his current situation about his relationship with his mom. He basically talked about the same topics he did on MMLP and even the album starts with the end of the Criminal. he could have given more but it still is a great sequel.
Nov 17, 2015 Relapse = MMLP2 Masterpiece, but people underrate it because it is different than what they expected (1999-2003 style). Also both are a little complicated, so its not catchy enough for the casual listener and in the same time can't capture the word play - internal rhymes - the complicated flow. and I don't blame the fans, although I love both albums, but I think Em should go back without being complicated.

Nov 17, 2015 It's obvious that Rick Rubin was bad for Em. Dre, Mel-Man, Scott Storch, Luis Resto, Emile and Eminem himself would give classic production easily...
Nov 17, 2015 Came in to say this. The name doesn't change the fact that it's an awful album. Encore & Relapse are miles ahead of MMLP2 and that's not saying much.
Nov 17, 2015 though i do agree the others would have been better... Marshall wanted the classic rock acid rap vibe, and rubin was the best choice for that whether you see it or not... that type of music IS Rubin. most of the people that complain about the classic rock samples are 13 year olds who have no idea how big of an impact those tracks were because they weren't born. and the other group is 30-40 year olds who have the mindset that Eminem needs to stick to his 1999-2003 sound, AKA stuck in the past off topic; the amount of trash threads in this section make it hard to make any logical posts due to the overwhelming amount of s--- that is displayed.
Nov 17, 2015 Always thought the criticism of Rubin was unfair. He gave Marshall exactly what he wanted on the album, not his fault Em couldn't deliver.
Nov 17, 2015 I don't have problem with MMLP 2 production but definitely could've been a lot better. Recovery is an alltime low produced s---. It's pretty interenting to see it selling like 15 million copies Worldwide with those awful beats he rapped on. Singles and his delivery definitely helped him a lot with the popularity of the album
